Monitoring

Website monitoring that tells you before your customers do

FrogStatus requests your site at a fixed interval, from the regions you choose, and alerts your team when it does not answer, answers with an error or answers with the wrong content.

14 days, no commitment. Cancel any time.

How it works

  1. 1

    Add the address

Paste the URL of a page or an API endpoint and choose HTTPS or HTTP.

  2. 2

    Decide what is healthy

A good status code is enough by default. Add an assertion if the response must also contain a given text, or a JSON field must equal a given value.

  3. 3

    Choose who is alerted

Pick the channels that receive the alert and whether it repeats while the site stays down.

What you get

More than a status code

A page that returns 200 with an error message is still broken. Check the body for a text, or a JSON path for a value.

Frequent checks

As often as every 15 seconds on the largest plan, every 5 minutes on the smallest.

Why it failed

A failed check records the phase that broke (DNS, connection, TLS or waiting for the answer), so you start debugging in the right place.

History you can read

Every check is stored: uptime and response time over the days your plan keeps.

Where it helps

  • Marketing site and web app

Know when the site goes down and whether the cause is the host, the certificate or the application.

  • JSON APIs

Check that the API answers and returns the field you expect, not just any 200.

  • Checkout and login

Watch the pages where an outage costs money.

Questions

How often are checks run?

You choose the interval for each monitor, down to the minimum of your plan: 5 minutes, 1 minute, 30 seconds or 15 seconds.

What counts as down?

A connection error, no answer within 10 seconds, an error status code or a failed assertion.

Can I check pages behind a login?

Not today. A check is a plain GET request without credentials. For private pages, expose a small health endpoint and monitor that.

Can I monitor an internal address?

No. Private and internal addresses are blocked, so only public targets can be monitored from our probes.
