Monitoring

Domain expiration monitoring

A domain that lapses takes the site and the email down with it, and may be bought by someone else. FrogStatus reads the expiry date of the registration and warns you in time.

14 days, no commitment. Cancel any time.

How it works

  1. 1

    Add the domain

Enter the domain name, for example example.com.

  2. 2

    Choose the warning

Set how many days before expiry you want to be alerted.

  3. 3

    Connect an alert

Select the channels. Several people can be told at once.

What you get

Reads the registry

The expiry date comes from the registration data of the domain, not from the website.

Days left, every check

The days until expiry are recorded, so you can see the date approach.

Works for any domain you own

Including domains that run no website at all.

Clear when it cannot work

If the registry of a domain does not publish an expiry date, the form tells you so up front.

Where it helps

  • Company domains

Make sure the main domain is renewed, whoever holds the account.

  • Many small domains

Spot the one that was forgotten.

  • Client domains

Agencies can watch the domains they manage for customers.

Questions

Which plans include it?

Plus and above. Solo covers website (HTTP and HTTPS) and ping monitoring.

Which domains are supported?

Those whose registry publishes an expiry date. Some registries, for example for .de, .eu and .nl, do not, and FrogStatus says so when you add one.

Does it renew the domain?

No. It only warns you, so you renew it with your registrar.

How early will I be warned?

As early as you set the threshold.
